The Seasonal Suppers, Supper Club, April – POSTPONED
April 25 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm£40
Due to the recent and emerging situation with Covid-19 I have posponed the Seasonal Suppers April event. I will be rearranging the event in brighter days, hopefully later this year.
Everyone who has already booked a ticket has now been emailed, with the option of moving their ticket over to the (as yet unknown) new date.
If you would like to support my business by buying a ticket for the event now, that would be hugely appreciated. I’m not going to lie, as small business and freelancer that relies on working with the public the next few months are going to be financially tough. You will be able to exchange the ticket for any of my future events in 2020 or 2021 if you are unable to make the new date. Thank you
The Seasonal Suppers returns! I’ve had a bit of a hiatus, but I couldn’t be more delighted to be inviting you once again to dine with me for a seasonal feast.
This time we’re heading to South London, to Brother Marcus cafe, a very short stroll from Balham station.
Mid spring can be a tricky time for produce in the UK. It’s hungry gap time. The hungry gap is the period of time in UK farming when all the winter crops have been picked, but the spring ones haven’t quite come through yet. That said, I am sure I can still sprinkle a little seasonality throughout this meal.
St George’s day on 23rd April, is traditionally the start of the UK asparagus season, so if everything is on time this year, then it will most certainly feature in our meal which is 2 days later. There’s also the possibility of foraged finds, and with any luck I will be able to get my hands on some pungent delicious wild garlic.
With a lack of seasonal fruit to add into the dessert, it just means there will be more space on the plate for a chocolate themed dessert. I can’t imagine this will be a problem for anyone?
I hope you will enjoy eating the meal as much as I did creating the menu and feeding you all. Expect a nourishing, delicious and fun evening.
*Please let me know when purchasing tickets any dietary requirements, as it’s a small supper club rather than a large restaurant it’s always easier for me to know in advance so I can adapt where necessary. There is a space for you to add this info in whilst purchasing the ticket. The venue cannot be guaranteed to be allergen free.
*Please note, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to an another person. Please see full terms and conditions. There is no booking fee.
Any questions about the supper, please feel free to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
